How to Play Nerdle

The best place to play Nerdle is Nerdle’s website. You are here, which means you already know this. But here is the simple version of how you can play Nerdle with maximum points.

Using six attempts is your last boundary, but how efficiently you use it, the chance of winning the Nerdle depends on that.

All those three colors that you get every time when you guess any word. As we have already told you all about those three colors. But the problem is most of the players who face out attempts or wrong guesses do not focus on color.

When you are already getting feedback from Red Tiles, you should always change your next move. If you use the same strategy or word repeatedly, your six attempts will go without notifying you.

When you get a green color and for one letter or more but have one or two red letters, using the same type of word but in a different order can give you the winning spot.

Don’t worry about failing; you have tried and tasted multiple strategies, which we will share now.

Tips for Solving Nerdle Quickly

Follow all our winning strategies and taste formulas to conquer Nerdle every day.

Use Feedback Wisely

Check all the hints that we have given to you and include as many numbers and symbols as you can for the first attempt. So, when you hit the enter button, you will have the best feedback for your next move. You can use 73-49=24. Just look at the numbers and operators that we have used here, has covers different numbers and operators. Now, we have a broad output that we can use for our next move. Please don’t use the same; we have used this to give you clarification.

You can also use two or three different operators to get the best move for your attempt. If you use 6* 5-4=26, you will have the best attempt for operators that you can use. We have used here *, -, = also 6, 5, 4. We will get two benefits from here: one is for numbers and another one is for operators. So, never forget to use numbers and operator feedback for your next attempts.

Take care of tile color.

Please pay attention to the color tiles when you are already in the game. With the color of green tiles, you already know that you have nailed the correct number or operator in the perfect place or spot. But focusing on purple and black tiles should be your main priority. Purple shows it’s the equation but misplaced the number of operators, and black indicates used numbers or operators are not in the equation. Which operator and number are misplaced? Look at them and avoid the next move. Use these clues wisely to sharpen your next move and crack the code!

Follow Math Rules

Using valid math rules is very necessary. For all the numbers and operators you use, don’t forget to do the valuation before hitting the enter button. You will not lose your attempts if you guess the wrong path. But the addition, subtraction, etc, you have used must meet the valuation.

Avoid Repeating Black Tiles

The more you get black tiles, you lose the possibility of winning. Black indicates that the number or symbol you selected is not part of the calculation being used, meaning it has no role in solving the current problem. Every time you use the black tile’s numbers or operators and hit the enter button, you lose your attempts without getting any valuable feedback. To get useful feedback for your next attempts, you have to avoid black tiles as much as you can to increase the winning possibility.

Check the Equal Sign Placement

The placement of an equal sign holds the equation, but placing this wrong place can push your limit. When your limits (six) are already decided, then using the = sign in the wrong place is just losing attempts. But this should not be your goal; your goal is to get the maximum feedback for your next move if your entered operators and numbers are wrong. Just placing an equal sign in the wrong position can make your whole guess wrong.

Watch for Repeated Numbers

Repeated number problems are very common for a Nerdle player. We have already faced this, so we know how bad this is for Needle. The best solution for repeated numbers is to look for previous attempts. Only use those numbers, those are already giving you green tile feedback. So, every time when you guess the equation, check previously entered numbers or operations; if the same numbers and operations are already used, then use different ones, but don’t forget to check the math rules.

Practice with Starter Equations

When you are playing, how can you cover all the operators? In Nerdle, there are five operators in use: +, -, *, /and=. For your first two attempts, use those five operators, and still, you will have four attempts to hit the bottom attempts. Why this strategy will work? When you already know what is the best place for every operator, then your quality of doing correct guess will be increased gradually. So, mix numbers with all the operators and get the best feedback to win Nerdle.

Best Starting Equations for Nerdle

We have shared all the important strategies and rules that you need to acquire, but what about starting equations?

In this section, all your doubts related to Nerdle starting equations will be solved. Check all the points we have covered here and increase your winning rate of Nerdle:

12+3-6=9 covers five numbers and three operators. All the numbers and operators used here give you the best feedback. When you use similar equations, the probability of getting the best feedback is in your hands. But all the numbers and operators should be used in the correct place.

6*5/2=15 covers multiplication and division along with 1, 2, 5, and 6 numbers. The reason for using this is very simple. Here, we have different numbers and operators so we can maximize our next attempts.

12+11=23 covers initial numbers, so when we go for big numbers, we can see which numbers and operators we have used that don’t need to use or have to use. You can also try big numbers more than we have used here.

9/3+8=11 covers most different numbers. So, when you think that you should use other numbers, then you can use this type of equation. The reason you already know.

48-6*7=6 covers multiplication with subtraction and shows you that you can also use this type of equation. The only thing that you need to take care of is math rules. Only only have eight empty boxes to enter your guessed numbers and operators.

20/5+0=4 finally covers zero along with division and addition operators. If you think that you can’t use zero, then you are wrong if you are new to Needle. Because for experienced Nerdle, getting zero is not a surprise thing.

Don’t use decimal values. Although you have only eight empty boxes to fill, sometimes our used guess may come with a decimal value. The possibility will be zero when you follow the math rules and the return and equations.

There you have it. Don’t forget to bookmark this, as we update this post daily to keep you winning. Use all the hints, tasted formulas, strategies and quick tips to avoid wrong placement. Could you keep using our hints and keep winning?

  1. Please explain how todays 22 Jan Nerdle is reached I just do not understand the equation of 6/29*9=2. Please help
    Thank you

    • 1. First, divide 6 by 27:
      \( 6 ÷ 27 = 0.222 \) (approximately).

      2. Then, multiply that by 9:
      \( 0.222 × 9 = 2 \).

      So, yes, 6/27 * 9 = 2 is correct!
